The mission of the Safety Committee is to create a direct link between the SMIA Board of Directors and professional safety representatives from Member companies. Under the authority of the Board of Directors, the Committee collaborates on industry safety issues in order to develop recommendations and tools that will assist the Membership in the elimination and reduction of risk.

The Signal Safety Committee meets three times a year across the continental United States and is open to all Signal Membership and SafeShore clients. 

These meetings are an excellent opportunity to network with the Committee and fellow Signal Members and SafeShore Clients. Come share ideas, ask questions.

These meetings are open to Signal Members and SafeShore clients.

Committee Meetings: Wednesday- June 12, 2024

The Committee Meetings are working meetings in which you are encouraged to give input and ideas on Subcommittee projects. These meetings are open to Signal Members and SafeShore clients. 

There are four (4) Subcommittees in which you will be able to attend the appropriate meeting(s):

• Marine Terminal
• M-CODED: Marine Construction - Offshore - Diving- Energy - Dredging
• Shipyard
• Terminal Automation

If you have suggestions on topics, you would be interested in seeing presented at future meetings, please reach out to your local Signal Safety Manager.
