The Safety Committee welcomes you to Texas!
The SMIA Safety Committee Meetings is a two-day event held three times a year across the US and are open to the entire Membership.
The mission of the Safety Committee is to create a direct link between the SMIA Board of Directors and professional safety representatives from Member companies. Under the authority of the Board of Directors, the Committee collaborates on industry safety issues in order to develop recommendations and tools that will assist the Membership in the elimination and reduction of risk.

If you have suggestions on topics, you would be interested in seeing presented at future meetings, please reach out to your local Signal Safety Manager.
Committee & Subcommittee Meetings: Wednesday
The Committee & Subcommittee Meetings are working meetings in which you are encouraged to give input and ideas on Subcommittee projects.
There are four (4) Subcommittees in which you will be able to attend the appropriate meeting(s):
- Marine Terminal
- M-CODED: Marine Construction - Offshore - Diving- Energy - Dredging
- Shipyard
- Terminal Automation
These meetings are an excellent opportunity to network with the Committee and fellow Signal Members. Come and share ideas, ask questions, and let the Committee know what would help you and your company stay safe!
