Our panel will provide an overview of Jones Act seaman status under the Chandris decision and USL&H situs and status tests. We will also receive an update from the 5th Circuit's decision in Sanchez v. Smart Fabricators and other recent seaman status decisions including Meaux v. Cooper Consolidated. Several other common areas of overlap between the two Acts will be examined.
